Commercial Accountant

Job No: 108988
Location: Brisbane

About the Opportunity

As we grow to IPO, Employment Office now has an opportunity for a Commercial Accountant to join our team on a full-time basis.

Reporting to, and working closely with, the CFO, you will be responsible for carrying out regular accounting duties including the reporting, financial control and consolidation of the Group’s financial activities. In addition, there is an exciting opportunity to learn about and contribute to our IPO process over the coming years, including assisting with IFRS AFS development.

This is a unique opportunity to expand upon your current skill set, working across a number of business areas and functions - you'll enjoy plenty of variety and interesting work to keep you on your toes!

Using modern, cloud-based software including Salesforce and Xero, your day to day responsibilities will also include:

  • Providing financial support to the various cost centres within the business;
  • Preparing financial reports, management reporting, and monthly commission calculations;
  • Taking the lead role in payroll, AP, AR and reconciliations;
  • Carrying out debtor control;
  • Overseeing reconciliations for all head office bank accounts;
  • Assisting with month end reporting as well as consolidated reports;
  • Assisting with incentive and commission calculations;
  • Performing general office administration tasks such as ordering office supplies and mail collection; and
  • Maintaining business dashboard reporting.

Join a culture of supportive collaboration and positive conversation. You'll be well supported and benefit immensely from the mentoring you will receive! Not to mention, this is an interesting position spanning a number of different areas of responsibility rather than one particular function - you won't just be 'number crunching'!

Join our organisation where you’ll be recognised and rewarded for your achievements. Earn, celebrate, and have fun with us! You’ll be offered an attractive base salary plus super and performance based incentives (commensurate with experience and qualifications).

Our top performers enjoy an annual all expenses paid international trip and everyone attends our quarterly celebrations where your hard work is recognised and rewarded. We even have an 'EO Exchange Program' where you'll be flown to our Canadian business for a couple of weeks, after 18 months with us!

The pressure’s on in this fast-paced, high-performance environment. But there’s free fruit… and beer. Our office is centrally located, with Brisbane river views and a close walk to transport, cafes and shops.
