About the Opportunity
Employment Office is now seeking a full-time Junior / Intermediate Accountant to join our team in Brisbane.
Reporting to, and working closely with, the Chief Financial Officer, you will be responsible for providing financial support to all business units by assisting with preparation of financial reports, management reporting, monthly commission calculations, payroll, AP, AR and reconciliations.
More specifically, some of your daily duties will include:
- Preparing AP payment runs;
- Carrying out debtor control actions;
- Reconciling head office bank accounts;
- Assisting with month end reporting as well as consolidated reports;
- Assisting with incentive and commission calculations;
- Performing general office administration tasks such as ordering office supplies and mail collection; and
- Maintaining business dashboard reporting.
About You
We're looking for a Degree qualified Accountant with the following skills and experience:
- 1-2 years' experience in a similar commercial accounting role;
- Advanced Excel knowledge;
- The ability to quickly learn new systems, including Salesforce and Xero (previous experience with either system is a bonus);
- High attention to detail, including the ability to drill down and work with large amounts of data in varying forms;
- Outstanding customer service skills and the ability to build and sustain productive relationships;
- Time management and organisational skills, with the ability to work autonomously; and
- Importantly, a willingness to learn and desire to grow your career with us!
