Recruitment Team Leader (Shortlisting & Selection)

Job No: 100644
Location: Brisbane

  • Bring your professional services experience to an organisation changing the face of recruitment!
  • Exciting leadership opportunity within a fast-paced, energetic team!
  • Enjoy an attractive base salary + super & performance based incentives!

About the Opportunity

We're now on the lookout for a full-time Recruitment Team Leader to join our established Shortlisting and Selection team. There is opportunity to based out of either our Brisbane or Melbourne office.

Instead of the typical agency/360 recruitment model, we customise solutions that suit our individual clients' needs and we don't charge placement fees. This means our Shortlisting and Selection Team is able to focus on coordinating recruitment processes for our clients and delivering exceptional candidate care to candidates.

Some of the key duties carried out by the Shortlisting and Selection Team include:

  • Reviewing and ranking candidate applications online;
  • Speaking with clients to understand their ideal candidate profile;
  • Performing video and phone interviews;
  • Conducting employment reference checks;
  • Coordinating interview schedules with both client and candidates;
  • Focusing on candidate care, providing candidates with feedback and answering any questions they may have about the recruitment process; and
  • Facilitating online behavioural testing.

As with all of our Team Leaders, you'll lead by example, spending up to 80% of your time focusing on achieving the above, paving the way, and inspiring your team members through your results. You'll spend the other 20% of your time undertaking team leaderships duties, including managing workflow, business planning, managing your own P&L, and driving process improvement.

To be clear - this role is not an 'employment services' role in which you and your team work on behalf of candidates to actively help them find employment. Rather, you will work directly with, and on behalf of, corporate clients to help them find the right people for their specific roles.

One of the most exciting aspects of the role is the the variety each day brings. You'll work across a wide range of industry sectors and locations - think anything from Admin Assistants in Sydney, to a CEO for a national NFP, to Event Coordinators for one of Australia's leading beverage companies.

Who will LOVE this role?

Our team loves what we do. As such, we're looking for a leader who will bring passion, drive and enthusiasm to the role!

This is what we're looking for in our next Team Leader:

  • Leadership experience - Ideally you'll have experience in progressing into leadership within a professional services / client facing team.
  • A warm, supportive approach - We're after a leader who displays empathy and easily builds rapport with team members to ensure they're performing well and enjoying their roles.
  • Polish and professionalism - Both in your appearance and interactions with stakeholders.
  • Energy and DRIVE - Our team is full of motivated individuals looking to achieve success in all that they do. You'll be the type of leader who encourages this atmosphere and are yourself driven to achieve results.
  • Emotional intelligence - If you've recruited / interviewed anyone in the past, you'll know you need to be a bit intuitive and know when to probe for more information.
  • Someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment - You'll need to demonstrate that you can handle multiple deadlines, stakeholders and problems at any given time, without losing your cool.
  • Someone who wants THIS job, not just any job - If you are going to copy and paste your application from another job application - don't bother! We want someone who wants to work with us as much as we want to work with them. If you don't care about your application, this is not the role for you.

Although it would be great if you had experience in the recruitment space, it's not essential for your success - if you have the right leadership skills and attributes, we will help you to develop the recruitment skills that you need to set you up for future success. A degree level qualification would be highly regarded.
